Introduction:

Since I was around twelve, I always enjoyed puzzle games. This pattern continued through my late teens and is most likely here to stay 😉 One of my favorite puzzle mobile games is Dots. They are run by Playdots Inc. In Dots, the game interface is a work of art which led me to color inspiration.

With only four colors, this color palette was pretty simple 🙂

Game Information: Dots is a simple puzzle game in which the player attempts to meet the goals within the given number of moves. The dots can only be connected at right-angles.

This was the first super successful game that this company came out with and I remember talking about it with my friends when I was thirteen. The link below will lead you to download it from the app store.

Theme Color Palettes

The game has several theme options, some of which are unlocked with “dots”. To earn dots, the user participates in the various game modes.

The original color set is called Classic.

These base colors are the concepts that are present in the games that Playdots Inc. presents. This company loves bright colors.

Our second color combination is a Purple based theme.

Fun and spunky colors dominate this theme.

For a Modern theme, the creators picked colors that are closer to naturally occurring pigments.

Winter Day is a seasonal surprise that delights the user with simulated snow.

Wild Blue Yonder is a theme inspired by the song lyrics from the U. S. Air Force Song.

Giant’s Causeway features cool colors for a relaxing game experience.

Sunnmore Valley is a darker game experience, great for unwinding after a long day.

The Space theme is an intergalactic experience fun for all ages.

The Desert color set displays an adorable fox and cactus.

Mod Synth is a music-inspired technological game feel.
